Advocacy
As an experienced advocate specializing in liaising with schools, I possess a unique skill set that enables me to bridge the gap between families and educational professionals. I work closely with families to understand their concerns, aspirations, and goals for their children's education. Armed with this information, I am adept at composing clear and persuasive emails that address specific issues, advocate for necessary accommodations.
Tribunal
Our comprehensive services encompass the preparation of all necessary appeal documents. This includes, but is not limited to, reviewing and providing expert advice on legal matters, evidence, and effective tactics. We will draft the Grounds of Appeal and offer guidance on amending the Working Document. Throughout the appeal process, you can rely on our continuous advice and support. This involves liaising and negotiating with the FTT SEND ("the SEND Tribunal"), school(s), witnesses, and the local authority as required. Our commitment extends up to and including on the day representation.
Annual Review
As an advocate with expertise in undertaking annual reviews for Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs), I play a vital role in ensuring that the legal requirements and timeframes are adhered to. With a understanding of the complex EHCP process, I work to facilitate smooth and timely reviews, providing invaluable support to families. During the annual review process, I collaborate closely with schools and Local Authorities (LAs), fostering open lines of communication to gather relevant information and documentation.
EHCP Draft
Our specialized service involves a thorough and expert review of draft Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs). Our primary focus is on ensuring the quality and enforceability of these plans, with specific attention to sections B, F & I. Additionally, we offer the option to include a comprehensive review of health and social care needs based on your specific needs and preferences. As advocates for children with special requirements, we are dedicated to ensuring that the EHCPs accurately reflect each child's unique needs and aspirations while meeting all relevant legal requirements.
